At Trippin, we want people to have a better experience while travelling. In order to create the best possible service for our users, we collect, use, and share information and data, either provided by our users or generated by their usage of Trippin. This Privacy Policy describes what information and data this includes, as well as how we use it. By signing up to our mobile application, you accept the conditions of this Privacy Policy and the processing of your personal data.


All your personal Information shall be held and used in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and national laws implementing GDPR and any legislation that replaces it in whole or in part and any other legislation relating to the protection of personal data. What kinds of information do we collect?


When registering with Trippin, users are requested to sign up with Facebook. The user’s name, profile photo, hometown and email address will be gathered automatically from your Facebook account. We may also use the information you provided us to contact your from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.


Trippin also collects certain information automatically: the type of mobile device used, the device’s unique device ID, its IP address, mobile operating system and information about the way you use the Application. Trippin may also use the location of a user’s device, but only if the user agrees to this but clicking ”OK” when Trippin asks the user for permission to use the device’s location.


In order to keep Trippin free of charge for users, we may work with advertisers and third party advertising networks in the future. These will collect information how you interact with advertising provided in the Application. This Privacy Policy will be updated with details, should Trippin start providing advertising within the application.


If you do not want us to use your location for the purposes set forth above, you should turn off the location services for the mobile application located in your account settings or in your mobile phone settings and/or within the mobile application.


Visitors to our Website – When someone visits we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.


How do we use this information?


We use the information that the user provides to us, and the information that is collected automatically, to provide users with relevant content, important information, and required notices that are essential to providing a good user experience.


How is this information shared?


Trippin will share your information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.


We may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:


* as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;

* when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;

* with our trusted services providers who work on our behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

* if Trippin is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Web site of any change in ownership or uses of this information, as well as any choices you may have regarding this information.


How can I manage or delete information about me?


Trippin will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the application and for a time of 3 years thereafter. If you’d like us to delete your own User Provided Data from Trippin, please make a request to Please note that the User Provided Data may be required in order for the Application to function properly.


Your rights relating to your Information


You have certain rights in relation to personal information we hold about you. Details of these rights and how to exercise them are set out below. We will require evidence of your identity before we are able to act on your request.


Right of Access. You have the right at any time to ask us for a copy of the Information about you that we hold, and to confirm the nature of the Information and how it is used. Where we have good reason, and if the GDPR permits, we can refuse your request for a copy of your Information, or certain elements of the request. If we refuse your request or any element of it, we will provide you with our reasons for doing so.


Right of Correction or Completion. If Information we hold about you is not accurate, or is out of date or incomplete, and requires amendment or correction you have a right to have the data rectified, updated or completed. For example, if we are processing your Information on the basis of our legitimate interests and there are no compelling legitimate grounds for our processing which override your rights and interests. We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide electronic and procedural safeguards to protect the information we process and maintain. Only authorized employees and contractors who need the information in order to operate, develop or improve Trippin, are given access. Please be aware that, although we strive to provide the best security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential breaches.


How will we notify you of changes to this policy?


Users will be notified within the app should any changes occur to this Privacy Policy. If the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice, for example through e-mail notifications or an required update of consent. We will also keep prior versions of this Privacy Policy in archive, available on demand for your review.

By using the Application, users are consenting to our processing of users information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. “Processing,” means using cookies on a computer/hand held device or using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in the United Kingdom.
